The North Ryde/Macquarie Park corridor
is arguably one of Australia's fastest growing and most
dynamic business precincts.
Supporting the increasing number of people
who travel from Greater Sydney and even beyond to work
in the area are new developments such as the Chatswood-Epping
Rail Link and the Lane Cove Tunnel. The existing M2
Hills Motorway has made the journey simpler for
those who live north west of the region.
The Epping-Chatswood Rail Link will provide
the North Ryde area with three new Rail Stations; one
at Delhi Road near Riverside Corporate Park, one at
Waterloo Road in the heart of Macquarie Park and one
at Macquarie University. Updates on progress of this
project can be found at the Rail
Link website.
Currently under construction, the
Lane Cove Tunnel project will link the M2 Hills
Motorway with the Gore Hill Freeway. There are significant
impacts to local residents and business people which
include lane closures on busy Epping Road close to the
tunnel.
North Ryde/Macquarie Park Chamber of Commerce
is in regular contact with both the Rail Link and Lane
Cove Tunnel projects, and provides updates from these
entities at regular intervals.
Other local infrastructure issues the
Chamber is involved with include the City of Ryde's
parking study for the North Ryde/Macquarie Park corridor.
